Faded fire lanes are an inspection issue and an access problem.
Emergency lanes need to remain visible to drivers and clear for responding vehicles. When red curb coatings peel or the warning stencil becomes unreadable, simply adding another coat over a failing base can create another short-lived finish.
Our fire-lane refresh sequence
- Inspect the existing curb and marking condition.
- Remove loose or built-up paint where needed.
- Clean the curb and adjacent pavement for adhesion.
- Apply the specified red coating and warning stencil.
- Control traffic until the coating is ready to reopen.
Where decades of curb paint are stacked on top of one another, abrasive surface preparation may be the best first step before repainting.
